This policy covers the personal data for which we decide the purpose and means — that is, where we are the controller. In practice that means people who visit our website, enquire about our services, work for our clients and suppliers, and apply to work with us.
It does not cover the learner and employee data we handle inside client projects. There we act as a processor on our clients’ instructions, and that client’s own privacy notice applies. Our obligations in that role are set out in our client contracts, and summarised on our security measures and sub-processors pages.
We collect information about how our site is used, through the third-party technologies described in our Cookie Policy. Lawful basis: consent, except for storage that is strictly necessary to provide the site.
When you contact us through the site, book a call, or download a resource, we collect your name, email address, organisation and anything you choose to tell us about your requirements. This is held in our customer relationship platform. Lawful basis: legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you have made and pursuing a possible working relationship. Where we send marketing by email, we rely on your consent or the soft opt-in for existing business contacts, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
We hold the business contact details of people we work with at client and supplier organisations, together with correspondence and project records. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or legitimate interests in managing a business relationship.
If you apply to work with us we collect your application, CV and interview notes. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in assessing candidates.
Our Cookie Policy sets out exactly what is stored on your device, by which service, for what purpose and for how long. You can change your choices at any time from the consent banner.
We share personal data with the service providers listed on our sub-processors page, which shows what each one does and where it processes data. We place contractual data protection obligations on each of them, and we remain responsible for how they handle personal data.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, an appropriate transfer mechanism is in place — typically the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK addendum.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become clients | 24 months from last contact |
| Client records and correspondence | 7 years after the relationship ends, reflecting tax and limitation periods |
| Unsuccessful job applications | 6 months |
| Website and consent records | As set out in the Cookie Policy |
Where a period is governed by a client contract, that contract takes precedence.
The technical and organisational measures we apply are described on our security measures page. They include encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, enforced multi-factor authentication, and centrally managed devices.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete; to ask us to delete data, in some circumstances; to ask us to restrict how we use it, in some circumstances; to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; to ask us to transfer data to another organisation, in some circumstances; and to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, email data@limadelta.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
