Academy design

An academy architecture that drives consistent high performance on the topic that matters most to your business.

You're tasked with driving performance at a scale that's too big for a one-off intervention.

Behaviours that really matter, such as sales excellence, AI enablement, and leadership, don't shift on a single intervention. They need a long-term solution that drives best practice at scale and is there for every new joiner, too. They need an academy.

But building an academy doesn't mean people will use it. It takes thoughtful design to drive consistent high performance, become the place people actually go, and stay current as best practice evolves. We design the architecture and principles that do all three.

Press play to find out how to drive high performance.

What is Academy Design?

A four-week sprint that gives you the blueprint for a learning academy or curriculum: how it's structured, what content lives in it, and the principles that hold it together. You leave with a report of the audience insights that informed our thinking, a map of the academy and its architecture, and a set of learning and design principles to apply whenever you buy or build content for it.

Who is it for?

L&D leaders who are taking a topic seriously enough to build a long-term home for it. If you're tackling something that really matters to the business, such as sales excellence, AI enablement, or leadership, and you know a one-off course won't move it, this is for you.

How is this different to just commissioning a set of courses?

A pile of courses isn't a considered academy. We start with audience and desired behaviours, then design a learningarchitecture that will deliver. We design navigation, content organisation, learning principles, learner journeys, and a plan for keeping the academy fresh as best practice evolves. The principles we set mean everything you add later fits, rather than bolting on.

What do we get at the end of the four weeks?

A map of the academy's architecture and the content within it, audience insights, learning and design principles to guide every future build-or-buy decision, and prototype visual mock-ups so you and your stakeholders can see it, not just imagine it. Enough to take to your leadership, your budget-holders, or for us to use as a brief to create the content for you using our Bespoke Digital Learning service.

How does it stay relevant once it's built?

That's designed in from the start. The architecture is built to grow, and the learning principles give you a clear rule for what belongs and what doesn't, so the academy keeps its shape as you add to it. It's built to serve today's audience and every new joiner after them.

Do you build the content too, or just the design?

This sprint is the architecture and the principles, which is the part that makes everything else work. Once it's set, we can build the learning inside it with you using our Bespoke Digital Learning service, or hand you a blueprint clear enough for your own team to build against.

A short sprint, built to last

A fixed four-week scope with defined deliverables, so you know exactly what you're getting. At the end you have an academy blueprint you can build against straight away, whether that's with us or your own team.
